Mud stain removals are hard to get off carpets and even worse to remove once the stain is not taken care of right away. There are two types of carpets to get the mud stain removed. The two types of carpets are synthetic fiber and natural fiber carpets. Different ways are used to remove mud stains from these types of carpets.

First, we will discuss how to remove mud stains from synthetic fiber rugs/carpets. First, vacuum any dry dirt to remove as much of the dirt as you can. Next, dip a cloth into detergent solution and dab the mud stain repeatedly. Then, press the cloth on the spot for a couple seconds. Wait about fifteen minutes and then soak up the extra liquid with a dry white cloth. The last step in order to remove mud from synthetic rugs or carpets would be to dip another dry white cloth into lukewarm water and dab the stain repeatedly, then press it on the stain for a few seconds. After these steps are used, the stain should be removed completely and would look as good as new!

Another type of rug/carpet is natural-fiber. The steps to remove the mud stain on this type of rug/carpet are different from removing the stain from the synthetic fiber rugs/carpets. The first step is to vacuum up as much dry dirt as possible. Next, spray the stain with detergent solution. In order to make the detergent solution, mix one teaspoon of translucent dishwashing detergent, such as Dawn or Joy, into one cup of lukewarm water. After mixing the detergent solution, spray the stain with a vinegar solution and then blot with a dry white cloth. Lastly, reapply the detergent solution, then blot with a dry white cloth. How To Use Goals As A Time Management Tool

Youve heard the saying, If you do not know where you are going, how will you know when you get there. Define Goals

If you do not have a least five concise, clear goals written down you must do it now. Define your short term and long term goals. Know The End Before You Began

Upon completion of defining your goals, it is best to know the end before you began. What will be the desired result of your goal? For example, one of my goals was to have a monthly e-zine, the monthly e-zine is the desired result, the end. In order to reach that result, I had to brainstorm on the necessary steps needed to get to the end. I studied other e-zines publications, auto responders, researched topics and wrote articles, created and included an opt-in box on my web page for subscribers. Those steps became my road map, my atlas to get to my desired outcome. It also broke my goal down to smaller reachable tasks that I could include in my daily schedule. How do you eat an elephant? One piece at a time!

Take Daily Action Steps

You must commit to completing daily tasks towards your goals until successful completion. Youve defined your goal, mapped out the steps, now get out your planner and block time everyday to work on your tasks. Do not add the tasks to your to do list, actually put it in your schedule so that you are expected to work on it no matter what else is going on. If I schedule writing articles from 9:00 am 10:00 am, I will not do anything else during this time, I will not answer the telephone or check email messages. Time blocked on your schedule should be uninterrupted time avoiding all time wasters. Develop a habit to plan your next days schedule at the end of your current work day, this will keep you organize, monitor your time and increase your productivity.

Time Management Tips - Stop Working So Hard!

I'm sure most of you are familiar with the "80/20 Rule":

We wear 20% of our wardrobe 80% of the time.
80% or our revenues come from 20% or our clients/customers.

The same is true of working. 80% of our results come from 20% of our effort. Let me repeat that: 80% of our results come from 20% of our work. Which is good news...and bad.

The bad news is that most of us are overworking by a substantial margin. Matter of fact overworking impedes our results. Why? Because we are so busy running around we are not stopping to consider whether this work is getting us the results we want. Because we produce poor quality work that needs to be redone, or make errors that require additional time to correct. In other words, we are working hard but not necessarily productively. Which causes us to work much longer than if we slowed down and focused on our work and used our energy efficiently.

The good news is that we can work less and still see the same results. Actually, we may produce even BETTER results. Two studies on athletic performance illustrate that working hard does not generate the best results. In both studies athletes were divided into several groups. The members of each group were instructed to allocate their time in a particular way. For example, some groups were instructed to spend all their time practicing their sport. Other groups were instructed to divide their time between practicing the sport and visualizing the movements and outcomes they wanted from their performance. In one of the studies the group that improved the least was the one whose members spent all of their time training. In both studies the groups that spent more time visualizing outperformed the groups that spent more time working. So, why ARE we working so hard?!

The challenge for us is to adopt a new belief system and change long standing habits. The puritan work ethic is deeply embedded in our culture and psyche. "You have to work hard to get ahead" and "hard work pays off" are just two of the many work related "truisms" that have been drilled into us since childhood. In contrast it is interesting to note that the Chinese symbol for the word "busy" is composed of two symbols: heart and killing. That's a rather sobering image.
